Empire Online releases Q1 results |
April 27, 2006 Online gaming group Empire Online watched revenues triple at its casino business during the first quarter, with overall growth in line with expectations, although total revenues slipped back.
Total net gaming revenue for the first quarter of 2006 fell to $21.1m from $22.5m in the fourth quarter of last year and $24.4m 12 months ago.
Casino revenue soared though, shooting up to $15.3m from $5.6m this time last year and $11.2m during the final three months of 2005. Poker revenue slumped to $5.8m from $18.8m a year earlier following Februarys $250m sale of Empire Poker to PartyGaming.
Net gaming revenues across all platforms excluding Empire Poker were $17.6m, an increase of 42% on the fourth quarter of 2005. |
