• Slotland Renews Sponsorship of Olympic Hopefuls

But we’ve been serious contenders our last few times out, and if we improve as much through this season as we did last year, Team Slotland could be the team to beat!” When he’s not practicing or competing, Geurts is the webmaster behind CurlingZone.com, the official web site of the Ontario Curling Tour. And as if that’s not enough to keep the young father busy, he and teammate Rob Lamont are also the event coordinators for the annual Cashspiel this weekend in St. Mary’s. “The curling community has given me a lot,” says Guerts of all the contributions he makes. “It’s a lot of work, but I like to feel that I’m giving something back.” The St Mary’s Cashspiel will be Team Slotland.com’s fourth outing of the season. The annual event takes place November 10 to 13 at the St. Mary’s Curling Club. Team Slotland.com will be competing for a $7000 purse.
