• Trump To Sell Riverboat Casino

November 9, 2005 - Trump Entertainment Resorts is to sell Trump Indiana, the subsidiary which operates a riverboat casino and hotel at Buffington Harbor in Gary, Indiana for $253m (214m euro, £145m). The purchaser is Majestic Star Casino, which operates a neighbouring riverboat casino, and with whom Trump Indiana had a joint venture which owned, developed and operated all common land-based and waterside operations in support of the two riverboat casinos. The sale is expected to result in $227m (192m euro, £130m) in net proceeds for Trump, which the company intends to invest in its Atlantic City properties as well as seeking additional growth opportunities.
