• 32Red announces growth

January 18, 2006 - The continuing boom in online gambling today helped gaming firm 32Red to post a 67% rise in 2005 revenues to £9.8 million. Its big earner remained casino games - including roulette and blackjack - which netted £8.9 million, up 57% on 2004. However it was poker which saw a real surge in interest over the year, with revenues up 339% to £830,000 from that game alone and the number of active poker players rising 277% to just under 7,000. Though based in Gibraltar, around 83% of 32Red players are in the UK. The firm, which listed on the stock market in September, says it tries to give its games glamour and a very British feel. Gimmicks include having actress Patsy Kensit as the voice of the casino dealer.
