• Legislators Intrigued by Global Cyber?s Solution for Regulating Internet Gambling

June 11, 2006 – DENVER – In Boston on Friday, June 2, 2006, members of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) heard testimony from Global Cyber GPS CEO Bill White regarding the company’s technology solution to regulating Internet gambling. “What’s wrong with Internet gambling is the absence of regulation,” stated White. Florida Senator Steven Geller, NCLGS president, said that if White’s company can do what it claimed, Global Cyber could make a tremendous difference. White created a media stir last October at the annual Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas when he declared, “A legitimate, fully lawful Internet gambling industry is coming to America, and soon.” He was widely cited as the first authority to make such a prediction. Likewise, at the NCLGS meeting, his regulatory system dominated discussion and was the focus of significant interest. Following the meeting, White noted that representatives of several states had requested early demonstrations. “The NCLGS meeting is another step along the road toward legitimization of the industry in America,” he stated.
