Swimming And Winning With Mermaids |
Slot players at Golden Tiger Casino can look forward to more outstanding action this week on the latest feature-rich video slot to hit the Internet, Mermaid's Millions.
This brand new game is similar in style to the very popular Tomb Raider and features multiple opportunities to win and win big on waves of jackpots, free spins and bonuses with bets that can range from as little as a cent up to a dollar.
Jackpots up to $37,500.00 are achievable on a max bet, and can be boosted threefold to $112,500.00 if hit in a free spin.
The 15 payline, five reel format is set in an undersea fantasy world replete with richly textured, bright color graphics of glamorous mermaids, shy lobsters, bulging treasure chests, jolly Neptunes and other sea creatures. Be sure to look for the cool, laidback seahorse!
In the game, the Neptune symbol is wild and substitutes for all symbols except scatters and treasure bonuses. 3, 4 or 5 treasure chests on the active payline will trigger the underwater treasure bonus where rewards are added to payline wins. This can be triggered during free spins too and choices of 3, 4 or 5 rewards from a selection of 12 displayed on the seabed are offered to the player.
Beautiful mermaids represent the important Scatter symbol and 3, 4 or 5 of these can give the player 10 free spins where all winnings are tripled and further free spins can be re-triggered during the original free spins. Scatter wins up to $250 are also multiplied by the total number of credits staked, and are added to the payline wins.
To launch the new game, Golden Tiger Casino will be offering double reward points to all players for the entire month of March.
Start spinning at Golden Tiger Casino and enjoy watching your loyalty points work hard for you.

Internet Gambling In Antigua Awaits Another Green Light |
Hardbeatnews, GENEVA, Switzerland, Weds. Feb. 23, 2005 - Within 45 days, an appellate panel of the World Trade Organization, will again decide whether Antigua & Barbuda can keep engaging in Internet gaming legally or whether the United States would have to change its laws to allow this method of gambling.
Antigua-Barbuda Minister of Finance and the Economy, Errol Cort, on Monday presented a 21-page document to the Appellate Body outlining Antigua and Barbudas case, after the U.S. a ruling favour of Antigua and Barbuda made last November.
The disputes panel ruled last year that U.S. financial regulations, preventing transactions between U.S. financial institutions and Antiguan-based Internet gambling companies, were in breach of obligations of the U.S. under the General Agreement on Trade in Services.
Finance Minister Cort told the panel yesterday, We believe that any resolution to this dispute will see our two countries developing a scheme reasonably acceptable to both of us that allows Antiguan operators fair competitive access to consumers in the United States. Although the United States is not ready to negotiate with Antigua at this time, we are hopeful that upon Antigua prevailing in this appeal, the United States will consider constructive engagement with us to achieve a speedy and comprehensive solution.

Yahoo! Denies It Has Real Money Poker Plans |
Yahoo! has strongly denied it has plans to launch a real money poker room, as reported last week by eGaming Review. Representatives for Yahoo! UK said it had not started development of a real money poker site and had no plans to launch anything of that nature during 2005.
Industry sources had informed eGaming Review Yahoo! had been in discussions with at software firms over sub licensing poker software.
And eGaming Review as informed the firm had opted to develop the software in-house, which was backed up by a well-placed source close to Yahoo! UK.
But Yahoo! denied any formal talks had taken place, and said it was also not looking to develop any software in-house.
It did confirm it had held informal talks with poker software firms, but said there was no special significance to those talks.
And the firm insisted that for now it has no plans to launch any poker product beyond its current play-for-fun offering.
Play-for-fun poker sits within Yahoo!s casual games channel and not in its skill gaming section as Yahoo! regards it as a game of chance.
It is possible this position could change if the UK Gambling Bill succeeds in becoming law in the UK before May.
If the Bill becomes law, it will allow UK-based online casino and poker operators to be licensed in the UK for the first time.

Desktop Conference: North Dakota's Internet Poker Bill |
If State Rep. Jim Kasper has his way, North Dakota will be the first U.S. state to regulate Internet poker. Kasper's bill to legalize online poker in the state was passed in the House last week and will go before the Senate next month. Now he's asking the I-gaming industry for support and will bring representatives of the industry to Bismarck to testify in favor of the bill. In this audio interview with IGN's Sue Schneider, Kasper talks about why he wants to legalize online poker, why he thinks he can get it done and why he believes federal policies won't stand in the way of his efforts.
